Risteárd Giltrap wrote to provide a fresh understanding of the Irish language tradition and its importance in the evolution of the Church of Ireland and our nation. It is an accessible account of how many Protestants took part in the original movement to save our language.

This booklet of familiar hymns is intended to assist those parishioners who worship through Irish, or bilingually, and who would like to be able to include
a hymn or two, as Gaeilge, to add to their experience of worship.
It is almost impossible to select a range of hymns that is to everyone’s taste but, in this case, we were in the fortunate position of being able to draw on a range of
resources , not least the hymns in Irish already in the
Church Hymnal.
