In recent years, the Cumann, a body with a long tradition of promoting the Irish language within the Church of Ireland and beyond, has enjoyed considerable success. 2014 saw it celebrate its centenary and in 2021, it played an active role in marking 1,500 years since the birth of St. Colmcille. The Corona virus posed a serious challenge for the entire world but the Cumann, like so many other worthy organizations, punched above its weight; Cumann committee member, Connor McCabe, in conjunction with the Trinity College chaplaincy, established a series of weekly Irish language prayer service. We pride ourselves in looking ahead whilst drawing strength from our history and aim to continue our work for the foreseeable the future.
Tá Seachtain na Gaeilge 2022 buailte linn agus tugann sé deis dúinn ár dteanga a ceiliúradh.
Tá comórtas beag á reáchtáil againn i mbliana. Seol grianghraif nó físeáin 30-60 soicind ag taispeáint ‘don domhan’ go bhfuil an Ghaeilge ionainn!
Beidh dearbháin x 8 x 50€ le buachaint ag na scoileanna, más mian libh páirt a ghlacadh.
As we celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge 2022 it gives us a chance to celebrate our language. We are running a competition asking you to send a photograph and/or video showing the world that we love our language.
