FOLÚNTAS

In recent years, the Cumann, a body with a long tradition of promoting the Irish language within the Church of Ireland and beyond, has enjoyed considerable success. 2014 saw it celebrate its centenary and in 2021, it played an active role in marking 1,500 years since the birth of St. Colmcille. The Corona virus posed a serious challenge for the entire world but the Cumann, like so many other worthy organizations, punched above its weight; Cumann committee member, Connor McCabe, in conjunction with the Trinity College chaplaincy, established a series of weekly Irish language prayer service. We pride ourselves in looking ahead whilst drawing strength from our history and aim to continue our work for the foreseeable the future.
